As President and CEO of Medical & Compensation Consultants, Dr. Mabry- Height develops innovative healthcare programs for private organizations and government agencies, focusing on employee health and wellness, workers’ compensation, and disability management.
A successful real estate investor for over three decades, Dr. Mabry-Height brings the same strategic vision to her business ventures as she does to healthcare. She is also a highly sought-after motivational speaker, endorsed by world-renowned speaker Les Brown, for her ability to inspire audiences to overcome challenges and achieve their highest potential.
Born in Greenville, North Carolina, and raised in New York City, Dr. Mabry- Height graduated summa cum laude from York College of the City University of New York before earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University. Driven by a deep commitment to improving care for underserved populations, she was sponsored by the National Medical Foundation, as a volunteer “foot doctor” in Kenya during her medical training.
Dr. Mabry-Height completed her internship and first year of residency at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, followed by her internal medicine residency at the USC–Good Samaritan Hospital in 1984.
In 1989, Dr. Mabry-Height earned her Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a focus on Environmental and Occupational Toxicology. She was certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1990 and is also board-eligible in Occupational Medicine.
A recognized leader, Dr. Mabry-Height, was selected as a California Healthcare Foundation Leadership Fellow, completing the program in 2004. Her leadership extends well beyond medicine into the community. She served as President and Chair of the Board of Directors for a public nonprofit that provided services to more than 350 chemically dependent and abused children, where she also successfully negotiated a contract for family medical services with the Betty Ford Center. In addition, she contributed her expertise as an advisory board member for The Center for Educational Achievement, a nonprofit dedicated to encouraging children to pursue careers in the health sciences.
Her dedication to community service has been widely recognized. She received multiple awards from the United States Postal Service for her contributions and, in 2001, was honored with a Congressional Award for Community Service for her volunteer work with abused children.
Dr. Mabry-Height has also been deeply committed to education and mentorship. She has served as a mentor to medical students and was formerly an Assistant Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She also served as Associate Medical Director for the United States Postal Service, Southern California Division, overseeing medical policy and healthcare operations for more than 16,000 employees.
Today, alongside her leadership and consulting work, she continues to practice part-time Internal Medicine, providing compassionate care with a focus on high- risk adolescents.
Dr. Mabry-Height is passionate about improving access to quality healthcare for children and older adults, especially in underserved communities. She believes that every patient deserves compassionate, high-quality care, no matter their background.
Honored as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) in 2010, she continues to advocate for policies that reduce healthcare disparities. As a Designated Civil Surgeon, she provides U.S. immigration medical examinations with care and attention, and as a Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) specializing in toxicology, she offers trusted evaluations for legal and insurance cases.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mabry-Height enjoys traveling, restoring old homes, and spending time with her family.
